10 Things You Didn’t Know About Khumo Kgwaadira
Khumo Kgwaadira is one young woman who is climbing up the entertainment ladder at a fast pace.There is definitely no one like Khumo. She is unique in her own way and her passion and the zeal for the music industry speaks for its self. This go-getter has managed to make a cut in both radio and television broadcasting, and by the look of things she is going far.
1. Khumo Kgwaadira also known as Miss Gee Kay is a 26 years old vibrant young lady hailing from Sefhare. She is the last born of 3 kids.
2. She started her love for the media in Malaysia when she was still a student. Khumo hosted huge events alongside professional TV presenters and at that time she was only 21.
3. In varsity Khumo started a company called 3KTees Entertainment with her friends. A media company that covered events and special celebrity interviews.
4. After completing her studies in 2012 came to Botswana in December just in time for flava dome auditions but unfortunately she never got called for auditions.
5. Khumo heard about Property For You auditions from a friend and she tried even though she wasn’t keen on Property. She got hired on the spot and that was her 1st TV job.
6. In 2013 her mother heard about radio auditions and she asked her to give it a try. She applied, got called for the auditions and the rest is history.
7. Miss Gee Kay is the only female in the country currently hosting a countdown show. She hosts the Orange Top 40 which airs every Saturday between 2-6pm.
8. Her best moment on TV was the time she was shooting Our Heroes Our Pride TV show,where she got to meet very powerful and influential people in Botswana, the likes of the former president Sir Ketumile Masire
9. Khumo credits social media as a very powerful tool that she has build her brand on. “The love that I get from people all over the world is overwhelming. It has done wonders to my career,” she said.
10. She sees herself as a TV/Radio mogul, a successful entrepreneur, a mother, a wife, a philanthropist, and looks up Gaona Tlhasana and Bonang Matheba, ladies who have taken the media industry to a higher level.
