Hip hop artist Kast is the man of the moment with his Tlatsa Lebala initiative. This die hard artist is determined to do it for himself even against the odds. Kast has laid more than a brick in the growth of HipHop music genre in Botswana, now he wants to show the world that local artists can still take centre stage. He Is a Hip-hop legend who has done a lot for our music.

1. His real name is Tshepiso Molapisi and he hails from Mmadinare, North East of Botswana.

2. Aside music Kast has used his celebrity status to giv back to the community through his foundation

3. He is vocal about being against local radio stations playing so much South African hip-hop, and side lining Botswana hip-hop, which is equally good if not better.

5. Kast is still on his mission to fill up the national stadium, with his concert dubbed the Stadium Capacity Concert. Should he achieve this, he will be the first local artist to have filled up the national stadium.

6. As a way to raise funds to acquire the stadium, Kast is about to embark on a 1000km trip from Gaborone to Maun by foot.

7. He did collaboration with a visually impaired local songstress, Anafiki, ‘Re Babedi’. The song received a lot of airplay and his music can be found at naomiimusic.com.

8. A staunch businessman, he owns his own record label, Kastalion Entertainment Promotions.

9. Ntsha Nkgo ft. Joe Morris, was his first solo single which he did independently under his label K.E.P

10. He is a happily married family man.
