#๐ฃ๐๐๐ต๐ฎ๐๐ช ๐๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ก ๐ฃ๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฆ His Excellency Dr. Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi, President of the Republic of Botswana this morning highlighted that the #PushaBW expo is aimed at encouraging Batswana to actively grow the local economy by supporting and purchasing locally produced products and services.
Speaking at the #PushaBW Expo at Selibe Phikwe, His Excellency Dr Masisi stated that the Expo had attracted a total of 60 exhibitors with over 50% of the businesses being Selebi Phikwe based enterprises. He said the SPEDU area has the potential to produce big industries which would, in turn, alleviate unemployment and poverty as well as opportunities in the Agribusiness, Manufacturing, Tourism and Services sectors.
His Excellency stated that the official launch of the โFirst Harvestโ represents Governmentโs commitment towards achieving an export led growth, which is a key in attainment of Vision 2036.
His Excellency further highlighted that a new catalyst in the animal production sector aimed at increasing the national herd and enhancing the quality of livestock breeds. Termed โThuo Letlotloโ will be launched during the 2024/2025 financial year.
