His Excellency, President Dr Mokgweetsi E. K. Masisi and Estonia President, Mr Alar Karis had a bilateral meeting at Botswana High Commission in London today.

 

President Masisi said Botswana had prioritised digitalization as one of the five priorities of government and was therefore looking to enhance relations with Estonia particularly in the ICT sector.

 

Estonia is a member state of the EU and one of the World’s most advanced digital societies and leading the way in digital transformation. The country has had the digital transformation journey for about 30 years now.

 

Mr Karis said his government was looking forward to collaborating with Botswana and offer their expertise in the digital space. The two countries have had relations dating back to 2003.
