Mogoditshane Drama: Imported Cars Sold At Unbelievably Low Prices.
Today was not just an ordinary day in Botswana, for the first time in our history, cars were sold at give away prices. Thousands of people came from different parts of the country for a clearance sale of imported cars in Mogoditshane. Some of the cars are said to be going for as little as P 5 OOO. The police had to intervene because the stampede was becoming risky.
The news was all over social media this morning, and people left whatever that they were doing to get the most needed necessity, a car! The traffic situation was bad, cars were on a standstill, and the Police tried hard to control the situation. Some people though are skeptical about these cars, saying that there might be something wrong with them.
Eventually, Acetone Holdings, car dealers based in Mogoditshane was locked down by police after dozens of people descended at the dealership to buy used cars. Apparently the owners had to sell the cars fast because they are being investigated for other cases, and the dealership had to close down. Whatever the reasons, this is a first of its kind!
Police are already investigating at least 10 cases of fraud.
