Lorraine LionHeart Explains Why She Left The Help Abbie Campaign

UK based singer Lorraine LionHeart seems to be a key player in the Abbie funds saga than we we could have thought. Since Abbie’s mom Tiny pleaded with the nation for 2nd funding, a lot of speculation has been doing the rounds on how the money has been misused by the campaign leaders. Lorraine’s name has now been put forth as she is the one who initiated the campaign, and left it.

“People keep on being so suspicious about why I left the campaign, so please allow me to clear this up once and for all,” she said. On a heartfelt Facebook status she explains that she left because of her busy schedule, and also the money was raised so therefore her job was done. “All I could do was to formally end my involvement , let the family deal as best as they could with a difficult situation, knowing at least I had made a little difference, then await updates like everyone else who helped. I was not abandoning Tiny and Abbie,” she explained.

Lorraine explains that all she wanted was doing the best for the child. She went on to say, “So I am sorry if this is not as juicy a story as some would have hoped, I just simply left because it was time to do so. My work was done. In my last statement I did say I would be happy to step in again should the need arise and if I am able to. Unfortunately since then I have had my own demanding personal obligation to attend to. Sounds selfish I know but that’s just how it is. I totally understand why anyone would be curious about my exit but I hope this answers the question.”
